What sets Joe apart is his family background—his father, a skilled fiberglass technician, instilled in him a love for the craft from a young age. Together, they worked on diverse projects like automotive parts, boats, molds, and RV parts.
Yet, it was the art of crafting fiberglass swimming pools that truly captured Joe’s heart. For over four decades, he has passionately designed, managed, and even owned several reputable fiberglass pool companies. His unwavering commitment to excellence is matched only by his friendly and approachable demeanor. Rick’s journey into the world of fiberglass and composite began even before he finished high school back in 1985. Picture this: evenings and weekends spent at Obsolete Chevrolet, where he skillfully handcrafted vintage fiberglass auto parts. Talk about starting young and strong!
Once out of high school, Rick set sail into the boating industry, where he honed his skills and became a true master of each step in the process – just like Joe. He dived into everything from crafting molds to perfecting product development, lamination, finishing, and more. If it’s fiberglass-related, Rick’s your guy.
But Rick’s story doesn’t stop there. He’s had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the business, which led him down the exciting paths of business management, 6 sigma, lean manufacturing, and ultimately, business ownership. With over 30 years under his belt, Rick’s the kind of guy who doesn’t just know the industry – he lives and breathes it…his expertise is woven into every fiber (pun intended!) of Rainforest Pools -N- Composites.
